A modern cosmological theory derived from computer science suggests that human consciousness is a self-aware software program and that our shared reality is a computer simulation. This theory is a scientific theory which conflicts with both religious and materialistic cosmologies.
In the near future, with the coming of virtual reality interfaces such as Oculus Rift, Google Glass, Magic Leap will inevitably mean that human beings will spend much of their time in avatar form in virtual worlds; worlds which will eventually become as realistic as our shared objective world.
The Posthuman species will inevitably be a cyborg species, part organic, genetically modified, part machine and part computer, assisted by AI. This species will inevitably replace the current primitive and warlike savages who are the current homo-sapien species.
